Everton interested in signing Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga

Everton have registered an interest in Sassuolo attacking midfielder Jeremie Boga, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the Toffees are yet to firm up their interest in the Marseille-born Ivory Coast international with a bid.

Sassuolo have already knocked back a £15.5million bid from Atalanta for the 24-year-old, with Napoli seeing a £30million offer turned down last summer.

Boga is not short of suitors, and it remains to be seen whether Everton would table an offer anytime soon.

Solid attacker

There are three wingers on the club’s wish list this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo, and with Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray closing in on moves to Goodison Park, Boga could be a fine addition.

The former Chelsea youth star has 18 goals and eight assists in 90 games for the Italian outfit, with six of those coming last term.

He was involved in 13 league goals in 2019-20, and we believe he has what it takes to improve our attack.

According to data from, Boga’s average of 4.23 successful dribbles per 90 minutes comfortably tops the averages of some of the most decorated young footballers in Europe like Jadon Sancho, Ousmane Dembele, and Kylian Mbappe, and Everton could do with such a dribbling machine alongside Richarlison in the final third.

Boga would love to return to the Premier League to prove himself having made just a solitary appearance for Chelsea, and we could offer him that chance.

Whether manager Rafa Benitez is keen on him is unknown, and that is all that really matters.
