Still has potential
It appears Everton manager Rafa Benitez wants to throw Gray into action immediately, as that is the only reason why the former England youth international is in Florida and not Merseyside for his medical.
The former Birmingham City ace is back in the Premier League six months after moving to Germany, and he has a lot of work to do to fulfil his potential.
We have seen his talents in flashes, and everyone knows Gray has what it takes to become a top player.
However, something has been missing for a while, and Benitez could be the one to finally get the ex-Foxes winger firing on all cylinders.
Gray has gone from winning the Premier League to costing just £1.6million, but it could prove to be a very shrewd business for us if he gets to turn out good.
Everton are the perfect place for him to rediscover himself, and Benitez has decided to take a gamble on him.
Gray’s former teammate at Leicester Jamie Vardy was a late bloomer, and that should give him hope that he still has time to turn himself into a world-class player.
It would take a lot of hard work, but the Toffees boss is the perfect man when it comes to getting the best out of players.
