Kevin Campbell predicts Everton clash v Brighton

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has backed Everton to leave Brighton with another point in their Premier League clash this afternoon.

The former Toffees talisman has predicted that it will finish in another 2-2 draw as Rafa Benitez continues his positive start.

Everton are currently unbeaten under the Spaniard, with Brighton another of the in-form teams in the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “I think Brighton look really well.

“I still think Everton could cause them major problems, so it’s going to be interesting. If Everton don’t defend properly, Brighton will beat them.

“I think they will fancy themselves there, I’ll go for a draw – 2-2.”

Solid.

Brighton may have had a good start, but Everton will always want to beat the teams that are expected to finish below them.

The Seagulls may be in-form, but they have only taken on Burnley and Watford – two teams tipped to be near the bottom three.

It was a positive start last season, and it all collapsed as the season went on and that can’t happen this time around, there has to be consistency.

Winning your home games and drawing most of your away clashes will get you close to the top, but can the Toffees turn some of these draws into wins? Time will tell.
