Everton keen on January loan moves for Madrid duo Isco and Luka Jovic

Everton are plotting January loan moves for Real Madrid duo Isco and Luka Jovic, according to Defensa Central.

The attacking duo are out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti, and the Toffees are keen to bring them to Goodison Park when the winter transfer window opens and cover all of their salaries.

A temporary move for the Spanish international, 29, could prove difficult, though, as he is in the final 12 months of his deal.

Defensa Central claim Isco is eyeing a long-term deal to leave Madrid, and Everton would struggle with handing him that.

The Serbian international striker, 23, could be open to a deal having struggled for regular playing minutes this term.

Dreaming?

Having made a former Madrid star their highest-ever paid player and seen him flop, one would think the Toffees would steer clear of the Santiago Bernabeu.

James Rodriguez was very much in a decline before moving to Goodison Park last summer, though, and Isco and Jovic have something to prove.

With four Champions League medals to his name, the Spaniard has the quality and experience to make the Everton midfield better in terms of creativity.

However, he has not been in impressive form since 2018-19, scoring just six La Liga goals and weighing in with another six assists.

That is due to his struggles with getting into the starting XI regularly, and things could be different at Goodison Park.

Jovic has seen just 32 minutes of action in the La Liga this term, and while he has struggled in the Madrid shirt, he impressed while at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Karim Benzema has blocked his chances, but the striker is capable of keeping Dominic Calvert-Lewin on his toes if an Everton loan works out.

Given their current injury crisis in attack, the Blues definitely can do with another quality forward in January, and the Serbian could be ideal.
