Richarlison inching closer to full fitness after injury blow

Everton forward Richarlison appears to be inching closer to full fitness after providing an update on social media.

The Brazil international, 24, has been out of action since picking up a knee injury against Burnley last month, and he has been working on his recovery at Finch Farm.

Richarlison has uploaded a video clip of himself going through individual training drills at the Toffees training ground.

The attacker said on his personal Instagram stories: “Voltando”, meaning “coming back” in Portuguese.

Hope?

Everton resume Premier League action on Sunday, with West Ham United visiting, and Rafa Benitez will be hoping his side can pick up all three points in order to continue their impressive start to 2021-22.

The Toffees manager is currently sweating on the fitness of Richarlison, and having him back for such a huge clash will be a massive boost.

The South American has a goal and an assist in four league games, and Everton need him back sooner rather than later.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne are also looking to return to full fitness soon, and Benitez will be providing an update on their potential availability for weekend’s clash during the pre-match press conference.

The Blues have coped well without their key attacking duo, but they need them back for the tough games ahead, and will need to keep impressing to boost their chances of finishing in the European places in the league table.

In other Everton news, Benitez has asked Toffees star with UEFA coaching badge to mentor Gordon.
