Everton confirm Dominic Calvert-Lewin rehab setback
Everton have confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin has faced a setback in his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury.
The striker has not played a single game for Rafa Benitez since August and recently it seemed like he was closing in on a return.
The Spaniard spoke in glowing terms about his recovery and he was in contention to play before the next international break.

However, that seems highly unlikely now given Everton’s latest statement.
Via their official website, they said, “Dominic Calvert-Lewin has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury and will remain out for a number of weeks.
“Calvert-Lewin will continue to receive specialist treatment and an update on the England international’s fitness will be provided in due course.”

Benitez hasn’t quite had the England international available and whatever games he’s played for him, he has delivered.
He started the Premier League campaign with goals in each of his first three games and it looked like the Spaniard had a talisman that he could rely on to deliver 20 league goals this season.
However, this injury development will have left him fuming as he would have to rely on Salomon Rondon to lead the line for him.
There are hopes that Richarlison may be fit again, and Benitez will be hoping for that as the Venezuelan has been disappointing thus far.
Something needs to change quickly, with no real goal threat coming from our man leading the line for the last month.
