Ederson wants to see Manchester City sign Everton star Richarlison
Ederson has revealed that if he could pick any player for Manchester City to sign, he would have Everton star Richarlison.
Speaking to TNT Sports Brazil, the City goalkeeper provided a brief answer, but it seems as if he would like the 24-year-old at the Etihad Stadium.
Richarlison has never been linked with Pep Guardiola’s side, but if Ederson rates him, then perhaps others in City’s side also like the Toffees man.
Speaking about Richarlison, Ederson said: “I’d bring the pigeon (the nickname for the Toffees forward). For the chats.”
Richarlison already has some big admirers in PSG, but if City joined that list as well, then you would think it would be hard for the Toffees to keep the Brazilian at Goodison Park [Goal].
However, he hasn’t started the season that well and only has two goals in eight appearances, so before there is talk of a big move away, surely he needs to perform better for his team?
You could say that about a lot of the Toffees players, in fairness, but Richarlison is one of the players who appears to be always linked with a move away, but his recent performances haven’t been good enough.
His record for Brazil is ridiculous, and perhaps Ederson is basing his answer on international rather than club displays, but it still seems like an odd choice for a team like City.
Richarlison wouldn’t get anywhere near the City bench on current form, never mind the starting XI.
In other Everton news, there has been an injury update on Yerry Mina.
