Jamie Carragher destroys Everton and Farhad Moshiri on Sky Sports
Jamie Carragher has destroyed Everton and Farhad Moshiri live ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal.
The Toffees haven’t won a single game in over two months now, and are lingering dangerously above the relegation zone.
Carragher labelled everything at the club as a “joke” and described the money spent by Moshiri in recent years as mind-boggling.
Speaking live on Monday Night Football this evening, Carragher took aim at the club and Moshiri, in particular.
“The club is a joke right now,” he said.
“You mentioned before about being a laughing stock, yes, I wouldn’t go that far. If I go back to the David Moyes era, Everton had something about them.
“There was a spirit about them, a fight – it’s not long after that afterwards Mohsiri come in, and because they couldn’t break that ceiling, because they didn’t have the money.”
“If you look at how much money is spent – that money spent is mind-boggling.”
Joke.
Everything about the club right now appears to be a laughing stock.
From matters on the pitch to matters off it – every level of the club just appears to be in tatters right now and it is horrible to have to watch.
Marcel Brands leaving is the latest controversy, although it isn’t one that wasn’t exactly shocking given his track record over the past three years.
What makes that a joke is that he was given a new contract only a matter of months ago, proving that there is no vision for the future at this moment.
Something needs to change drastically, and if that doesn’t happen sooner rather than later, we certainly could be in trouble.
