Michael Owen predicts Everton clash v Crystal Palace
Michael Owen fancies Everton and Crystal Palace to share the spoils and play out a 1-1 draw on Sunday in the Premier League.
The Toffees won their first game in two months against Arsenal last weekend, but Owen does not see them winning their second in a row.
Both sides are currently sitting in the bottom half of the table and the former Liverpool attacker fancies them to share the spoils.
He told Bet Victor, “Three defeats in a row have now dampened some of that early season optimism around Viera’s Palace. I’m sure he’ll be desperate to not make it four.
“That felt like a season saving win for Everton on Monday. The atmosphere in Goodison was electric at full time after that stunning goal from Demarai Gray.
“Everton haven’t been great on their travels this season and this looks like a draw to me.”
Three points needed
Should results elsewhere go in their favour, a win could see Everton end the gameweek as high as 8th place.
That’s how much two back-to-back wins mean in the Premier League where every side is battling for places.
Palace are the sort of team that Everton should be beating, regardless of their form in the league.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Lucas Digne starts this one for the Toffees.
He’s recently had a falling out with Benitez and missed the 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Hopefully, he’s back in the eleven as he’s absolutely lethal in the final third for the Toffees.
