Gary Lineker blown away by Conor Gallagher’s second goal as Crystal Palace beat Everton
Gary Lineker was stunned by Conor Gallagher’s second goal for Crystal Palace as his side won 3-1 against Everton at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Gallagher, who’s on loan from Chelsea, scored his second of the night to round off yet another woeful defeat for Everton.
After Seamus Coleman inexplicably gave the ball away from a free-kick, Gallagher managed to curl the ball into the top corner from outside of the penalty area.
Ex-Blues striker Lineker took to Twitter to react, saying: ” Woah…what a goal from Conor Gallagher.”
Embarrassing
We’ll admit that it was a superb strike by Gallagher and Jordan Pickford had no chance of saving it.
But the way we played against Palace on Sunday was inexcusable and absolutely laughable.

It was embarrassing to see Rafa Benitez’s players doing so badly.
For both of Gallagher’s goals, we gifted them possession almost inside our own penalty area, with some baffling defending thrown in the middle of that for James Tomkins’ goal.
We’re all over the place in almost every area of the pitch and the two players who gave away the ball for Gallagher’s goals – Demarai Gray and Coleman – are two players we’d expect so much more from.
As much as we’re not enjoying Benitez’s management, you cannot blame him for some of the honking mistakes that players are making.
Premier League footballers don’t do what Coleman and Gray did on Sunday.
