BBC: Everton chasing several players ahead of January amid Vitaliy Mykolenko pursuit
Everton are chasing numerous players ahead of January with Vitaliy Mykolenko set to be their first mid-season signing.
Writing via the BBC Sport website on Friday afternoon (17 December), Alistair Magowan wrote: “Everton are interested in Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine defender Vitaliy Mykolenko.
“The 22-year-old, who faced England at Euro 2020, plays mostly as a left-back and is one of several players Everton are monitoring with the January transfer window looming.”
More on the way?
Everton supporters will be hoping Mykolenko is just the first of many new arrivals at Goodison Park over the January transfer window.
The Toffees have had rotten luck with injuries under Rafa Benitez this season which have played a big role in their run of just one win in their last 11 games.

Star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been sidelined since August while the likes of Richarlison, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Yerry Mina have also missed a number of matches.
Benitez is hoping to get most back fit by January but even with their returns, this Everton squad needs strengthening.
A new right-back should be a priority while the Blues should also be in the hunt for attackers and central midfielders.
Quite how much money they will have to spend remains to be seen, but the early signs are promising with Mykolenko seemingly a big target, with other outlets reporting that he is on the brink of a move to Merseyside.
