Kevin Campbell: Cenk Tosun must leave Everton in January
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Cenk Tosun must leave Everton in the upcoming January transfer window.
The former Toffees talisman speaking exclusively to Goodison News admitted that his “time is over” at the club.
The Turkish international has suffered with injuries throughout his time in Merseyside and is still yet to feature this season.
“He’s got six months left on his contract,” he told Goodison News. “So, there’s not much money they can get for him.
“You can just get him off your wage bill for a small fee. A lot of these periphery players who have never quite cut it, you’ve got to try and get rid of them to get people in who can help.

“I think there are quite a few players like that who just make up the squad, his time is over really – move them on.”
Get rid.
The Toffees are already said to be kicking off their January business with a move for Dynamo Kyiv defender Vitaliy Mykolenko.
With the FFP restrictions not exactly loose around the club, getting rid of deadwood would be very ideal next month.
Tosun is the leader in that category and losing his big wages that are nothing more than a waste simply has to be a priority.
