Everton Super Fans react to Lucas Digne rumours
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Everton Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Goodison News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Goodison Park.
Everton Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Goodison News Facebook page about Lucas Digne.
The Sunday People report that Chelsea have joined the chase for the 28-year-old.
Digne hasn’t played for the Toffees since the Merseyside derby against Liverpool [01 December].
It is clear that our Super Fans believe that Everton should let Digne go because they don’t think he is committed.
Digne to leave?
The rumours around Digne have increased over the last week, with several clubs from around Europe looking at the Frenchman.
Now, Rafael Benitez looks as if he has already got his replacement in Vitaliy Mykolenko who appears set to move to Goodison Park [Mirror].
Therefore, it would make sense if Digne were to depart for, hopefully, a good amount of money.
If he doesn’t want to be there and Benitez has another natural left-back, why would there be any need to keep Digne around?
There really wouldn’t, and the best move would be to sell him to one of the many clubs desperate to sign him.
So, we will have to see what happens in January, but things look pretty bleak for Digne’s future, and our Super Fans want him gone anyway.
He has soured his relationship with some fans by the looks of it, and there is rarely any way back from that.
In other Everton news, Juventus want a swap deal involving Digne and Arthur.
