Fabrizio Romano: Only official Everton announcement left for Mykolenko
Everton only have to announce that they have signed Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Mirror reported on December 18 that the Toffees were only waiting on the paperwork before the deal can be made official.
However, Romano claims that is now done and it’s down to when the club feel the need to announce the signing.
Speaking on his Twitch channel, the Sky Sports Italy journalist said, “Everything is done for Everton to sign Mykolenko. I reported few days back that the medical was complete and now all that is needed is for them to make an announcement. It is a done deal.”
Get it announced
Mykolenko appears to be the first real signal of intent from the Everton board since Rafa Benitez walked through the door in the summer.
Due to previous FFP concerns, he wasn’t given the transfer kitty any new manager would.
He had to make do with limited resources from which he has delivered pretty mixed results.
However, given his recent falling out with Lucas Digne, it’s become almost imperative for him to get the Ukrainian defender through the door.
At 22, he’s already achieved plenty and hopefully, he kicks on a level or two at Everton.
The announcement could be made at any time and that should mean that once the window opens, he will be registered in the Premier League squad.
