Farhad Moshiri ready to back Rafa Benitez with Everton signings in January

Farhad Moshiri has made the decision to back Rafa Benitez to make numerous Everton signings in January.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who report that Nathan Patterson is next on the list with the signing of Vitaliy Mykolenko all but done.

It is suggested that Benitez is ready to wheel and deal with FFP rules strict at Goodison Park, but it looks as though Moshiri is ready to invest regardless.

Writing in the report, Dominic King shared the latest despite the “dreadful” run of form that Benitez is overseeing at this moment in time.

“Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s major shareholder, gave Benitez his full support by sticking by him through a period of dreadful results,” he wrote.

“And now he wants to financially back him, too, by delivering the players he needs to bring about the necessary improvement in results.”

No excuses, now.

We spent the summer accepting that major deals weren’t really a possibility given how tight the FFP rules were around the club.

It looks as though the sales of James Rodriguez and getting Moise Kean out of the club has really helped though, with Lucas Digne also another potential big-name and money exit next month.

That has opened the door to more possibilities with £20million said to have been thrown at Dynamo Kyiv to bring Mykolenko to England, albeit in instalments [The Athletic].

Based on that deal, Benitez may not need to “wheel and deal” at all and could have big money to spend.

It is suggested that it could take another £10million to bring Patterson to the club from Rangers, a deal that is desperately needed at right-back.

With a central midfielder wanted on top of that, it looks as though Moshiri is opening the chequebook again – let’s hope it works out better this time.
