Sky Sports pundit Tony Gale praises Everton attacker Demarai Gray v Norwich

Tony Gale has praised Demarai Gray despite Everton putting in a dismal performance against Norwich on Saturday in the Premier League.

The Toffees find themselves down 2-0 at half-time and the away end have been vocal in their hatred for Rafa Benitez.

Gray has been one of the best players on the pitch but has not managed to impact the scoreline in any way.

Speaking on commentatory for the world feed, Gale, a Sky Sports pundit, said, “Brilliant play by Demarai Gray. He really ran at the defence. The first time they’ve tested the Norwich backline.”

Benitez cannot have any excuses for performances like these and unless something doesn’t dramatically change in the second half, he could be walking on thin ice.

Gray has been the only player who seems to know what he’s doing today against the worst team in the league.

It seems like Everton are the ones in last place fighting against relegation as they’ve completely been outplayed by Norwich.

It’s going to take something extraordinary from the Spaniard at half-time to change the outcome of this game.

Michael Keane has been woeful at the back for the Toffees and it would be wise to bring him off.

The home support are clearly enjoying every minute of it and are continually taking digs at the visitors.

In other Everton news, the club want to sign a player labelled ‘Excellent’ by Cristiano Ronaldo with the European club keen on cashing in.
