Everton make concrete enquiry to sign Juventus attacker Dejan Kulusevski
Everton have reportedly made a concrete enquiry to sign Juventus attacker Dejan Kulusevski.
According to Goal Italia journalist Romeo Agresti, the Toffees are yet to make an offer for the 21-year-old but are believed to be interested in securing his services.
Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web reported earlier this month (January 2022) that the Old Lady wanted to raise funds to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina and were looking to cash in on Kulusevski.
Agresti said on Goal Italia’s Twitch channel, “Everton made a more concrete survey for Kulusevski. But Juventus did not receive any offers.”
Worth signing
Despite signing Anwar El Ghazi from Aston Villa this month, there are no guarantees that he’s bound to succeed.
That transfer was made when Rafa Benitez was in charge and it remains to be seen whether his successor actually rates him.
Kulusevski has been a player who’s made all the headlines in Italy as a youngster and he’s surely not getting the minutes he wants at Juventus, meaning a move could be considered.
His former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s now at Manchester United was also understood to be a big fan of his talents.
In 2020, he said of the 21-year-old, via Juve FC, “I really like to see him, he has great potential, and he’s an excellent player. I hope to play with him and score a lot of goals together.”
Hopefully, sense prevails in the Toffees boardroom and they end up making a move for him.
