Everton and Newcastle United in pursuit of Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller

Everton and Newcastle United both want to sign Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, according to BILD journalist Christian Falk.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on 26 January, the German reporter said that it’s “true” that Everton and Newcastle are both in pursuit of the 32-year-old forward.

Muller’s contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of next season.

We know that Farhad Moshiri likes big names and we assume that he’s the man at Goodison who’d like Muller to be signed – mainly because he’s one of the only people there.

Muller is a legend of the German game.

The 110-times Germany international is a World Cup winner with 10 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League winner medals.

Even though he’s 32, he’s still on fire in Germany.

This season, the forward has scored nine goals and supplied a staggering 20 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

He scored in both of Bayern’s group stage matches against Barcelona in the Champions League as they kept a 100 per cent winning record while an 11th Bundesliga title looks set to be on it’s way to the 32-year-old too.

Muller is an incredible player. Last year, Hansi Flick hailed the “sensational” Germany international via FotMob.

We don’t care that we don’t have a manager if we do sign Muller.

He’d be an incredible signing but why on earth would he quit Bayern, who look as though they could win the Champions League this season, to join a club hurtling towards the Championship with no manager?

Figure that one out.
