Vitor Pereira in England ahead of imminent Everton move

Vitor Pereira remains hopeful of being named the next Everton moss as he remains in England, waiting that the deal gets over the line.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the four-time league winning manager is prepared to sign a six-month contract with the option of another year.

The Toffees, for their part, are yet to make a final decision about their course of action.

Via his personal Twitter account, Romano wrote, “Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira is still in England together with his staff members. He hopes to join Everton as new head coach – but still waiting for club final decision.

“Pereira would be prepared to accept 6 month deal with option for one more season – time to wait.”

Best option?

Pereira has twice won the league with FC Porto, once with Olympiacos and another time with Shanghai SIPG.

His CV does make for good reading if all his achievements are taken into account.

However, he’s not one of the elite managers that fans would’ve wanted after Rafa Benitez got sacked.

There’s a reason why there aren’t many excited in and around Goodison Park over Pereira’s imminent appointment.

While the deal is not done yet, there is a feeling that it will be very soon unless somebody at the club has a sudden change of heart.
