Dominic Calvert-Lewin back doing work on grass ahead of Everton FA Cup clash
Everton will face Boreham Wood in the FA Cup fifth round on Thursday (2 March) and Frank Lampard could give opportunities to some young talents.
According to Patrick Boyland of The Athletic, exciting young talents – Isaac Price and Reece Welch – are training with the senior squad.
However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who didn’t feature against Manchester City, has only been light work on grass, suggesting he is not fully fit for this game.

Boyland wrote on Twitter: “Youngsters Isaac Price and Reece Welch have both been training with Everton first team ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Boreham Wood. Dominic Calvert-Lewin back doing work on the grass.”
Injury issues
This has been a really frustrating season for Calvert-Lewin.
The England striker, who missed four months of the 2021/22 season with toe and quadriceps problems, only made a return in January.
However, he hasn’t been able to recapture his old form and has fallen victim to yet another injury, which should frustrate Frank Lampard.
The Toffees boss confirmed last month that Calvert-Lewin picked up an adductor injury and that he could be out for 10 days.

Lampard has hailed Calvert-Lewin as a “quality” player last month, and he needs to return to full fitness and start scoring goals as the club look to climb up the table.
The Toffees played really well against Manchester City but ended up losing 1-0 in their last game.
The FA Cup tie has come as a welcome distraction. A comfortable victory here could change the mood around the place.
