Everton have no plans to reimburse fans for USM merchandise

Everton reportedly do not plan to reimburse fans who purchased merchandise bearing the old USM logos.

According to The Athletic’s Patrick Boyland and Greg O’Keeffe, there still may be some merchandise in process of being posted after online purchases.

This comes after the club are looking to cut ties with USM which is Alisher Usmanov’s company due to his links with Vladimir Putin.

Weird move

Fans should not be refused reimbursements if they’ve recently purchased products bearing the old logo.

Like the club, maybe even they would not want anything to do with USM so it makes sense to pay them the money back in exchange for the product.

The Toffees are known to be a community club and this is the least they can do to help their own fanbase.

Alternatively, they can offer fans an exchange offer which would mean that they get the same product without the USM branding.

While this is a small problem in the grand scheme of things, it may still affect a handful of the fans.

At such a time, the Toffees must do everything they can to appease their fanbase.

After the Rafa Benitez appointment and how his reign panned out, faith in the board is already at an all-time low and this could make things worse.
