View: Frank Lampard proves he is perfect Everton manager

Frank Lampard continues to capture the mood at Everton by adding an old face in Jack Dowling to his staff, as reported by the Liverpool ECHO.

The former Toffees coach will slot effortlessly into the brilliant coaching team that Lampard is assembling on at Finch Farm having already spent eight years at the club and not long ago leaving.

Dowling must have been eager to make his Blues return having only left Merseyside last year to join Blackburn Rovers.

The new boss has got this appointment spot on and the team will really benefit from the blend of new coaches that have come in with Lampard and those that understand the core values of the club such as Allan Kelly, Duncan Ferguson and now Dowling.

However, this time around he joins the Toffees under a much-deserved new role, the first team performance coach.

This is another really clever appointment from the club, led by Lampard.

He is slowly but surely assembling all of the pieces of the puzzle he needs to get the club back where they need to be.

Dowling is a top professional who more than showed his skills and commitment to the Blues during his eight-year first spell at the club.

Lampard seems to have learnt a lot from the many mistakes previous managers have made when joining Everton.

The former Chelsea boss’ predecessor, Rafa Benitez, came in and completely changed most things at the club to very little success as those who came before also did.

This is a club with a huge history and so many important core values that need to be understood from the very top to bottom which Lampard seems to be hitting on the nail so far.
