Ilkay Gundogan outs Everton ace Yerry Mina for bizzare tactics
Ilkay Gundogan has revealed the bizarre tactics that Everton defender Yerry Mina uses to get the one up on his opponents.
The Manchester City midfielder claimed that Mina pinches and scratches his opponents when the referee isn’t looking.
He was adamant there was no malice intended from the Toffees centre-back and was therefore able to see the funny side of it.

“I also remember Yerry Mina from Everton,” he told Bild via Goal.
“A tough Colombian centre-back. He’ll use his hands in a tackle, scratch or pinch your back when the referee isn’t looking. I’ve seen him do that once or twice.
“But not so much in a dirty way. He even smiles in your face in a friendly way, which makes him sympathetic in a funny way. I didn’t know how to pinch the back before.”
Hilarious
This seems like such a Sunday league tactic which is why it is so funny to hear a Premier League footballer using tactics like that.
Of course, Mina – like every other professional – will try absolutely anything to gain an advantage over the opposition.

This might be one of the reasons why the Columbian is such a good defender. He has been a stalwart in the Blues defence when fit and no wonder if he is such a menace to play against.
Not only has he nailed the dark arts, but he is also genuinely a very good defender. There is a massive difference when he is absent from the Toffees backline, which unfortunately is quite often.
Hopefully, he stays fit until the end of the season when back as Frank Lampard will need the leader at the heart of defence as he looks to cement the Blues Premier League status for next season.
