View: Frank Lampard should leave Michael Keane at home for Everton v West Ham

Everton travel to West Ham United on Sunday knowing that they must start picking up wins in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard will have come crashing down to earth after defeat at Crystal Palace made us forget about the win over Newcastle.

Changes simply have to be made at the London Stadium, and if they aren’t, serious questions need to be asked.

The first name who we can forget about is Michael Keane.

We are fed up with these senior options being picked just because of their names, with form needing to take priority right now.

Keane has been nothing short of shocking all season in the Premier League, but yet he continues to be let back in and make the same old mistakes we have seen far too many times.

The 29-year-old has made 179 appearances for the Toffees, and it is becoming more of a hindrance having him on the side right now.

Brutal.

The time has come for these types of decisions to be made, and Keane needs to be left behind at home at this stage.

Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey must be given the reins in the heart of the defence, and maybe that will lead to a change in the system.

Having four at the back will give us the chance to beef up the midfield and really pack out the spine of the team which has been lacking for months.

We need players who are going to stand up, and the likes of Godfrey and Holgate have the pace and the physicality to deal with Michail Antonio.

Keane has been clumsy all season, and we cannot bare to watch another disasterclass right now – leave him at home.
