Everton defender Nathan Patterson set to miss rest of season
Frank Lampard has confirmed that Everton defender Nathan Patterson is set to miss the rest of the Premier League campaign.
The Scotland international moved to Goodison Park in January but has failed to nail a spot in the first team.
He will now have to wait until next season as he’s due to undergo surgery which will keep him on the sidelines for up to 10 weeks.
Via his personal Twitter account, Alan Myers wrote, “Patterson season over Lampard says, 8-10 week recovery expected.”

Just as the Toffees would be needing to rely on their bench strength, they are short on one option.
While Patterson isn’t really the most influential of figures, he’s still a body in defence that Lampard could call upon when needed.
However, he will now have to make do with the rest of the players as the youngster is not going to be available.

It seemed like a bizarre signing from the off as Rafa Benitez was the one who sanctioned a move for him.
After his sacking, it’s proven to be obvious that Lampard does not really rate him that highly and it remains to be seen what next season has in store for him.
In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the last week.
