Everton make enquiry to sign Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay
Everton have reportedly initiated contact by making an enquiry to sign Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay in the summer.
According to Spanish media outlet Super Deporte, the Camp Nou exit door is ajar for the Netherlands international.
After featuring prominently under Ronald Koeman, he has fallen down the pecking order under Xavi.

Along with the Toffees, Newcastle and Arsenal have also enquired about the 28-year-old.
Avoid at all costs
Depay’s stint in the Premier League proved why he is not suited to the fast and physical gameplay.
At Barcelona, he had few good months and that was down to the tempo and the fact that most teams he played were inferior.
At Everton, that will not be the case and he will have to grind and work hard for every goal that he scores.

Nothing will be handed to him on a platter and he does not strike us as the player capable of doing that.
Ideally, the Toffees should look to sign someone younger and who’s got an eye for the goal.
Depay would do well in leagues like the Serie A and Ligue 1 but is clearly not the right fit for the Premier League.
In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the last week.
