Everton want to sign Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg

Everton are reportedly keen on signing Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg in the summer transfer window.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Toffees have been joined in the race by AC Milan and West Ham.

The 23-year-old’s deal at the Serie A club expires at the end of next season and it is understood that he could be on his way out this summer.

Worth looking into

There’s no denying that Everton will be needing to sign midfielders in the summer.

Barring Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, nobody else in the squad is really reliable.

Donny van de Beek could return to Manchester United, while Jean-Philipe Gbamin, Fabian Delph and Andre Gomes could be shown the door.

This means that there will be a serious need of reinforcements in the summer and the Sweden international could be a good option.

Last season, he registered “phenomenal” numbers of shots registered as he had more than Moise Kean and Joao Felix despite being a defensive midfielder.

Svanberg clearly is an all-action midfielder who does not mind getting closer to the final third as well.

If we’re the decision makers at Everton, he’s someone we would try roping in this summer as he would not be too expensive and would have a high resale value as well.
