Alan Myers has not heard about emergency Everton meeting over Frank Lampard future this week

Alan Myers has shared that he has not heard about Everton holding an emergency meeting in the past 24 hours.

There had been rumours swirling on social media that the Toffees board were meeting to discuss the future of Frank Lampard.

Everton crashed to defeat against Burnley last night [07 April] at Turf Moor, leaving the gap to the bottom three only one point.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this week [07 April], Myers responded after being quizzed on the so-called “emergency” meeting.

“I’ve not heard that, to be honest,” he wrote.

Nothing in it.

Now isn’t the time for something drastic.

Let’s be honest, though, it would not surprise us if Farhad Moshiri or Bill Kenwright together decided to pull the trigger on Lampard.

No one could save this mess right now, it is the players who need to step up and prove that they want to be in the Premier League.

Lampard is dealing with injuries and suspension at Goodison Park, and a squad that is not good enough despite the hundreds of millions spent in recent years.

The Daily Mail has reported that the board have full confidence in Lampard, and no drastic decisions will be made.

It would be the most Everton thing ever should we go and beat Manchester United on Saturday, but defeat could lead to us being in the bottom three after the latest round of fixtures are done.
