Paul Merson and Jeff Stelling stunned by Dele Alli developments at Everton
Jeff Stelling has been left bewildered by Dele Alli since his move to Everton in the latest January transfer window.
The England international has not yet started in the Premier League and continues to find himself stuck on the bench under Frank Lampard.
Paul Merson admitted the move to Goodison Park was an “unbelievable” opportunity, that is only going to pass him by.

Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday today [09 April], Stelling was bewildered by what was happening.
“Dele Alli, what the heck is going on?” he said.
Merson responded and insisted that he isn’t going to get an opportunity like this one again in his career.
“The only person who can answer that is the lad himself,” he said.
“He had an unbelievable opportunity to get a great move to another great club. This kid’s career is going to pass him by.”

What is going on?
This is one of the biggest headscratchers we have ever seen.
With Lampard consistently being forced to change his midfield one way or another, how on earth is someone with the calibre of Alli not playing more?
There has to be something going on behind the scenes with his attitude or how he is training not to be getting off the bench.
Even at Burnley on Wednesday, we were looking for a winner and he didn’t even get on the pitch, that is shocking.
At this rate, it looks as though we will be better off cutting ties in the summer and making sure that we don’t have to pay anything.
Thankfully, we got the job done against Manchester United without – is there not a spot for him here? We think not.
