BBC pundit stunned by Everton star Jordan Pickford in massive win v Manchester United
Garth Crooks was left stunned by Everton keeper Jordan Pickford after the huge 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
The BBC pundit insisted that Frank Lampard would have been a “nervous wreck” but thankfully he and Pickford held it together.
The England international made two massive saves from Marcus Rashford before Anthony Gordon smashed home the winner.

Writing in his latest BBC column, Crook included Pickford in his latest Team of the Week for his display at Goodison Park.
“When you lose seven of the nine games you are in charge of, you’re entitled to be concerned.
“Frank Lampard would have been a nervous wreck against Manchester United but he somehow kept it together – and so did Jordan Pickford.
“It was unfortunate for Marcus Rashford that Pickford was in such good form. On any other occasion the United striker might have scored two goals, had it not been for two outstanding saves from the Everton keeper.”

Wow.
This was more like it, and we have always said that it will be the form at Goodison Park that will keep us in the Premier League.
It was electric from minute one, with the fans simply among the best in the entire division yet again, even when it wasn’t going our way.
Early on, Manchester United were building possession, but the crowd stuck behind the team, and once that momentum was broken, they rarely dominated until the final 15 minutes.
That is to be expected in our position, but we can’t remember a single clear cut chance in those final moments, something Pickford deserved for his heroics earlier, he was repaid by the defence.
Now for a well-earned break, because the fixtures don’t get any easier after this win, with the likes of Leicester, Liverpool and Chelsea to come.
We’ll need Pickford on the top of his game, that’s for sure.
