Erik ten Hag could ask Manchester United to sell van de Beek after Everton loan spell
Erik ten Hag who’s expected to be the next Manchester United manager could reportedly sell Donny van de Beek after his Everton loan spell.
According to Manchester Evening News, despite sharing a working relationship at Ajax two years ago, his opinion of the Netherlands international could have changed.
Thus, there are no guarantees that ten Hag will look to retain the attacking midfielder’s services should he be appointed at the helm.

Worth signing permanently?
It’s fair to say that van de Beek is not having an excellent loan spell at Goodison Park.
There was plenty of excitement when he joined in January, but his performances have been no different than the ones at Manchester United.
One might argue that he’s not being played in his correct position but that’s not the player’s call.
If two managers did not deem him to be good enough and Lampard does not see the merits in changing his system for him, then van de Beek may not be that good.

The Toffees must thus avoid signing the player even if he wants to join them permanently next season.
They need combative central midfield players who will play with their bodies on the line and the Dutchman clearly does not fit the bill.
Unless he does something dramatic in these next few months, his future at Goodison Park appears to be all but done and fortunately for the club, it was a loan and not a permanent transfer.
In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the last week.
