Ruben Loftus-Cheek wants to stay at Chelsea as Everton weigh up major new transfer – report

Everton are weighing up a major move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper have reported on their website that West Ham, Roma and Crystal Palace are also in the race.

It looks as though they are set for disappointment though, with the Englishman wanting to stay at Stamford Bridge and kick on.

Frank Lampard is looking to put his own stamp on the Toffees over the summer in his first full window in charge.

Moves such as this would, of course, rely on Premier League survival being achieved at Goodison Park.

Then can the Toffees think about beating the likes of Jose Mourinho to another big-name signing?

Battle.

With Conor Gallagher returning to Chelsea, you never know what is going to happen at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel has so many players on his books and it would be no surprise to see him ship some off over the summer.

Beating Mourinho would also be tough given the success he has given to Tammy Abraham this season and proving going abroad can be fruitful.

Roma will likely be able to offer European football too, with Everton starting a fresh rebuild over the summer from square one.

Loftus-Cheek looks to have made it clear that he wants to remain at Chelsea, but sometimes that decision is taken out of his hands.

It looks as though Everton will be ready to pounce should the opportunity arise for them in the upcoming summer window.
