Everton look for major structural change, two new roles set – report
Everton are plotting a major structural change in the near future, according to the Training Ground Guru.
The online source has shared that the Toffees are looking for a new academy director and a new under-23s head coach.
Both roles were previously held by David Unsworth, who has since left to pursue his own managerial ambitions.

Kevin Thelwell looks to have been given his first major task since arriving at Goodison Park only a matter of months ago.
The new Director of Football is planning the structural change as part of a wider strategic review of the club.
Thelwell has a history of combining the two roles of academy director and manager of one of the youth sides while at Wolves.
That won’t be the case this time, with lessons possibly proving that it is better to split them apart.

Hands off.
Well, it looks as though Farhad Moshiri has left Thelwell alone to run this job search and strategic review.
That can only be good news, and the owner could finally have learned that he doesn’t need to be involved in every last thing that happens.
Everton have suffered from him being involved too much previously, with the main example being transfers that came from his work with Marcel Brands.
There are clearly going to be many errors found given how badly this club has been run over recent years.
It is now down to the likes of Thelwell to fix them, although it may be too late given we are teetering on the edge of relegation to the Championship.
Given our financial peril, should that catastrophic relegation happen, the academy could be our biggest weapon in the lower league, this decision needs to be right.
