Crazy Richarlison moment in Everton win v Chelsea questioned by journalist
Evertonforward Richarlison has been questioned by journalist Jack Rosser after he appears to throw a flare into the crowd during their clash with Chelsea.
After putting the Toffees ahead in a vital match in their relegation battle, the Brazilian picked up a blue flare that was thrown onto the pitch and launched it back into the stands.
Journalist for the Evening Standard, Rosser ,highlighted the incident on his Twitter.
Rosser posted a gif of the incident followed by: “No one going to mention this from Richarlison?”
Richarlison wrong
Incidents like this often polarise opinion amongst football fans.
In an age where health and safety is the number one priority for most football clubs, having one of their biggest and most influential plays throw a burning flare into the crowd isn’t the best look.
However, the situation needs to be taken into context.
Richarlison has just scored a vital goal which could boost Everton’s survival hopes massively.
He may have got a little carried away, but it’s entirely understandable after scoring a goal of this magnitude.
Regardless, the Brazilian will almost certainly face some sort of retrospective action for his antics.
Pyrotechnics at football grounds have become a regular occurrence, which authorities are trying to clamp down on.
As much as flares look great and enhance the atmosphere, these concerns are understandable, as having a molten hot flare in a crowd is not the smartest idea.
The FA will undoubtedly be in contact with the Brazilian for some stern words in due course.
In other Everton news, the club are reportedly after this 14-year-old wonderkid.
