View: Everton predicted starting XI v Chelsea

Everton welcome Chelsea to Goodison Park this afternoon in what is a huge game in the Premier League survival bid.

The Toffees know they will need to pick up three points as they can’t allow the gap to safety to grow too large.

Frank Lampard will make changes to his side from the defeat at Liverpool and possibly to the system too.

Jordan Pickford is one who will keep his spot, with the England international driving his team forward from the back.

There will be one change in defence, with Yerry Mina coming back in for Mason Holgate in the heart of the back four.

Michael Keane, Vitalii Mykolenko and Seamus Coleman will keep their spots and complete the back four.

Allan will stay in holding midfield, despite the Brazilian being non-existent against in the Merseyside derby.

Everton

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Alex Iwobi will continue in midfield, with both needing to bring more attacking impetus to their game this time around.

Lampard has little to no midfield options, with Donny Van de Beek, Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph all having injury issues.

Anthony Gordon will once again start in no surprise, with the young winger our main driving force for most of this season.

Richarlison will play on the left and will want to silence his critics after heavy scrutiny following the Liverpool defeat.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will hand Lampard a major boost with his return from injury, and given our predicament, he simply has to start up top.

That means Demarai Gray will be the one to miss out, and it makes sense given his lack of consistency since his injury.

Here’s how we now expect the Toffees to line up tomorrow…
