Arsenal and Everton in race to sign RC Lens midfielder Cheick Doucoure
Everton have reportedly been joined by Arsenal in the race to sign RC Lens midfielder Cheick Doucoure.
According to the Mirror, the 22-year-old is set to leave the French club for a move to the Premier League this summer.
Barring the two clubs, Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace have also been credited with an interest in the Mali international.

Good move?
Doucoure may not be a household name to the regular Premier League watcher, but he has done incredibly well in Ligue 1.
He played a pivotal role in ensuring that they finished 7th this past season and maybe feels that the time has arrived for him to seal an exit to a better league and club.
His teammate Seko Fofana waxed lyrical over him to such an extent that we were intrigued by what he could bring to the table for the Toffees.
He said, “Cheick knows how to do everything on the pitch. He works in the shadows and, for me, he is very important. He is incredibly complete. He’s one of the best players I’ve played with. He knows how to shoot from distance, how to pass, break the lines, dribble and defend.”
Watching Everton this season, that’s precisely the kind of player they need to make something happen as the midfield has appeared extremely stale.
Frank Lampard likes to play a progressive brand of football and he could do with another Doucoure in the team.
In other Everton news, a football finance expert has made a claim on the new Toffees stadium amid a major £300m development in the recent weeks.
