Dean Jones: Everton exodus on cards this summer, four players named

Dean Jones has insisted that Everton may have to deal with a player exodus this summer at Goodison Park.

It is reported that offers will be welcomed by the Toffees for players such as Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Allan, with other clubs showing interest in Michael Keane too.

On top of that, the futures of Jordan Pickford, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been plunged into doubt after a shocking Premier League season.

Writing for GIVE ME SPORT on Thursday evening [26 May] Jones shared all of the players that could leave Merseyside in what would be a huge blow.

“Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford played crucial roles in keeping them in the top-flight yet all have also had their future cast into doubt at various stages of the past few weeks,” he wrote.

“Offers for Dele Alli, Allan and Andre Gomes will be welcomed while there are some clubs showing interest in Michael Keane.

“Other players will leave when their contracts expire, including Jonjoe Kenny and Cenk Tosun. Fabian Delph’s situation is very uncertain.”

Some needed.

An exodus of some kind is certainly needed at Goodison Park.

Jonjoe Kenny and Cenk Tosun leaving once their contracts expired is the first piece of business that we have got right, and Fabian Delph should also follow them.

After that, getting rid of Alli, Allan and Gomes could open up huge money in terms of wages to hand out elsewhere to new signings between now and August when the Premier League starts again.

Keane has split opinions in recent months, but should Yerry Mina leave, he may be kept around for his experience around the squad which has been valuable at times.

Getting rid of that many players should allow for Pickford, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin to be kept around, although the future of the Brazilian may be taken out of our hands.

If he wants to leave, we have to respect that, while also bringing in huge money that can be spent elsewhere – the ball is in our court and if anyone wants him, they need to cough up.

Based on this, we could see up to 10 players leave this summer – that has been needed for years.
