Mark Douglas: Everton have money to spend, Thelwell and Lampard want to keep prime assets
Kevin Thelwell and Frank Lampard have both insisted they don’t want to lose any prime Everton assets this summer, according to Mark Douglas.
Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison have been heavily linked with big moves away, and a substantial rebuild will only be made possible should one or both be sold.
iNews journalist, Douglas, did report that there will be money available to spend for Lampard this summer if he does want to strengthen the squad.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Saturday morning [28 May], Douglas shared what he has heard from Goodison Park regarding all things transfers.
“I’ve written consistently there’s money to spend but a substantial rebuild will only be possible by doing something similar to January when Digne sold (FFP regs),” he wrote.
“Those two are prime assets but Lampard & Thelwell both said they don’t want to sell best players.”
Keep.
In an ideal world, every single Everton fan would want to keep Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford for next season and beyond.
All three played big roles in keeping us in the Premier League, and building a much more consistent squad around them would be the smart thing we could do.
As Douglas says though if we want a substantial rebuild, which looks like it is needed – one of them may need to be sacrificed and sold for big money.
Richarlison is the obvious candidate and is most likely of the three to want to move on and test himself, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain already mentioned [Daily Mail].
Farhad Moshiri looks as though he will be making some of the Premier League windfall available to spend within reason and let’s hope it is enough for numerous signings.
If not, we could start to see some of these big-name players start to leave one by one.
