Frank Lampard desperately needs Everton signings, picks out new midfielder and defender
Everton could make two major new signings before they will need to start selling players this summer, according to The Mirror.
The newspaper has reported on their website that Frank Lampard desperately needs new players, and has targeted a new central defender and midfielder first.
Business outside of those two is said to depend on sales which is currently very “fluid” at Goodison Park with financial restrictions remaining tight.

Writing for the Mirror on Thursday afternoon [02 June], David Maddock shared the latest with transfer plans yet to get off the ground at Goodison Park.
“It is clear Frank Lampard wants news faces before the season kicks off again in August, and clear too, he needs them,” he wrote. “Desperately.
“Lampard particularly wants a central defender, that much is clear, because he indicated as much to reporters who spoke to him at the end of the season. He also wants to strengthen in midfield.
“The rest depends on departures, which is a fluid situation.”

Desperate.
Thankfully, there is plenty of deadwood in this current squad to get rid of.
Lampard will have known that arriving here and keeping the club in the Premier League was only going to be the start of a very difficult period for the club.
The first part is done and now the squad rebuild is going to be next.
Players need to be sold and that is starting with letting those leave whose contracts are expiring this summer including the likes of Cenk Tosun, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Fabian Delph and Jonjoe Kenny.
They save big wages, and when you add in the sale of Moise Kean to Juventus, that is money all going in the right direction for Farhad Moshiri.
Bringing in a new defender and midfielder likely takes that money away and brings us back to square one, but if someone such as James Tarkowski arrives on a free, it certainly helps.
All eyes will be on the new midfielder should that move happen and if they arrive on the cheap too, then Lampard could spread his budget out even further.
Times are certainly changing at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, one Manchester City ace has already been touted for a major move to Goodison Park this summer
