Everton could be set to make total loss even with blockbuster sale of Richarlison
Everton could be set to make a loss on star striker Richarlison if he is allowed to leave Goodison Park this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The newspaper have written in their print edition [12 June, pg. 37], that if the Brazilian’s wages are added onto the £35million fee, potentially rising to £50million could be more than his sale price.
It has been mooted that Spurs are interested in a move, and may pay just above £50million should they get a move over the line in the next couple of months.

Writing for the Liverpool Echo, Chris Beesley shared the latest on any potential move and why it could end up being a shocker for the Toffees and their board.
“Now that really would spoil the transfer window for Everton,” he wrote. “Given that they paid £35million for Richarlison, potentially rising to £50million, that could leave them with barely any profit after four years’ service for the club.
“It seems insulting that Goodison chiefs would be prepared to let him go now for such a minimal increase.
“If Richarlison’s wages over the past four seasons are taken into account then such a price could even potentially represent a loss.”

Got to be kidding…
Farhad Moshiri needs to tread very carefully with this potential deal.
Richarlison is a cult hero at Goodison Park, and if any exit leads to any potential loss when all the figures are added up, there would be carnage among supporters.
Interested clubs such as Spurs don’t hold the ball in their court, that is Everton and they must demand a fair price for the charismatic South American, and that is certainly more than £50million.
The striker has come on leaps and bounds as a Premier League star since arriving from Watford, and the price of that has to be reflected in any move.
The bidding should easily be starting at £60million, and even if no clubs want to pay that, he stays at Goodison Park for another season – what is the problem with that?
You cannot be bullied into transfers nowadays, and even with our strict financial problems right now, we cannot just accept any old bid that comes flying our way.
