Everton in the mix to sign Porto left-back Zaidu
Everton are one of the clubs interested in signing Porto left-back Zaidu in the summer transfer window, according to a report from Record.
The Portuguese newspaper (14 June, page 13) has reported that the Toffees could face strong competition from several clubs, including Fulham, Brighton and Crystal Palace.
The Daily Star on 13 June reported that Brighton and Palace are interested in signing Zaidu who is under contract at the Portuguese club until 2025.

Not easy
It won’t be easy to pull off a deal for Zaidu this summer, but he will be a great addition if the Toffees can manage to do that.
The 24-year-old played 40 matches for Porto last season (2021-22) and has the experience of playing in the Champions League. He has earned 10 caps for his country, Nigeria, as well.
The Toffees need a left-back this season who can challenge Vitaly Mykolenko for the starting position.
Jonjoe Kenny has left the club and Frank Lampard needs to add a back-up player in the left-back role.

However, the competition is intense for him. At least, three Premier League clubs are vying for his signature, and it would take a big offer to lure him away.
Porto are looking to get at least £20m for him, while the player himself is keen to stay at the club.
The situation can change, of course, if any of these clubs can come up with a big offer for him.
In other Everton news, a Sky Sports pundit thinks one of Lampard’s targets would be worth splashing out £20million if the boss wants him.
