Stan Collymore reacts as Spurs eye major £50m+ transfer for Everton star Richarlison
Stan Collymore believes that Antonio Conte may be the man to shackle Everton forward Richarlison after Spurs were linked with a major move for the Brazilian this week.
The Telegraph has reported that the Toffees value the striker at more than £50million, but Spurs are prepared to offer Harry Winks and Lucas Moura in any potential deal.
Collymore has insisted that Richarlison needs to be scoring 20 goals a season consistently, rather than being better known for “trolling Liverpool fans”.

Writing in his latest column for the Daily Mirror [14 June, pg. 45], Collymore didn’t hold back any punches when discussing the potential major exit.
“There have been spells where Richarlison has made me go, ‘Crikey, this kid has everything; he’s built like a bulldog, he’s a beautiful athlete and he has an undoubtable ability to score goals,” he wrote.
“But I’m yet to see him dominate a season in the way he should and, because of that, Tottenham’s belief in him is interesting. Perhaps Antonio Conte is the man to shackle his excesses in the same way he did with Romelu Lukaku.
“And I have to say I’d love it if he turned him into a functional forward with good movement who scores 20 goals a season instead of someone who is better known for his hair and trolling Liverpool fans.”

Harsh.
Richarlison is more known for being one of the few players who performed every single week and basically kept us in the Premier League season.
Collymore must have a short memory, with the Brazilian so much more than just a goalscorer.
If this was Dominic Calvert-Lewin, we would accept that he should be nearing 20 goals a season when fully fit, but Richarlison is a player who offers so much more than just goals.
His never-ending running on the left causes constant problems for teams, whether attacking or defending, there aren’t many players who leave more on the pitch than the South American.
There is certainly nothing close with this deal, and it will take much more than just throwing scraps at the Toffees to get them to sell up their best player.
Of course, an exit remains likely given the constant reports coming out, but as for now, all we can is hope that he remains in a blue shirt next season and beyond.
