Everton target Kim Min-Jae set for showdown talks with Fenerbahce

Everton are reportedly waiting on the outcome as Kim Min-Jae is set for showdown talks with Fenerbahce over his future.

According to Turkish media outlet Takvim, he is to make the decision about his future clear, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Sevilla all vying for his services.

At the start of June, Sabah reported that the Toffees had already submitted a bid for the 25-year-old.

Gathering steam

The South Korea international has a release clause of £17million at Fenerbahce – which puts him right in Everton’s price range for the summer.

They’re unlikely to splurge a lot of cash on a single player and will make signings in this region as they look to rebuild their squad under Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea manager will have seen the disastrous performances from his defenders in the short time he’s been there.

He knows that it’s imperative for him to rope in reinforcements or next season would also see the side in a gruelling relegation battle.

Min-Jae will be a decent addition and will not arrive at the club with too much fanfare – which could be a good thing more often than not.

With no expectations, he will be given the ideal amount of time to get used to the Premier League and the Goodison Park culture and he could be at the club for the foreseeable future.
