Sky Sports pundit unconvinced Harry Winks and Lucas Moura enough to tempt Everton on Richarlison

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell expects there to be plenty of transfer activity at Everton this summer but isn’t convinced on a Richarlison exit to Tottenham.

Spurs have made the first push to sign the Toffees’ Brazilian star, and according to The Telegraph they are willing to include Harry Winks and Lucas Moura in a deal to land him.

The English midfielder is believed to be on Frank Lampard’s list of summer transfer targets so he is likely to be of interest, but Sky Sports pundit Campbell isn’t sure that the pair will be enough to tempt the Toffees to send their star man to North London, and although there will be a busy summer this deal may not be part of it.

“At the end of the day the key is what Frank Lampard wants,” he said, speaking exclusively to Goodison News.

“If he thinks that’s a good bit of business then he can trade. But if he doesn’t, if one of the players is more up his street and one isn’t, then obviously there’s a negotiation to be done.

“But I think there will definitely be moving and shaking. There will be comings and goings at Goodison.

“And Richarlison has come out publicly and said he wants to pursue Champions League football, so it’s definitely an option for Everton.

“Will it get done? I’m not so sure. I’m not so sure.”

The Pigeon proved to be a real talisman during the relegation battle after Lampard took over in January, scoring some crucial goals and driving the team forward from the front.

He wants to make the step up to play in Europe and looks to have earned the right to do so, but the Toffees have to receive the right deal for the club in order to let him go.

The fact Spurs are adding players to the equation suggests they are unwilling to to meet the asking price of over £52million [The Athletic], and with Richarlison reportedly unwilling to move to European champions Real Madrid for fear of being stuck on the bench [UOL Esporte] that surely has to enter into his decision-making for Spurs with Harry Kane, Son Hueng-min and Dejan Kulusevsky already in place there.

In other Everton news, the star man could reportedly leave for as little as £35million as he heads towards an exit from the club.
