Everton must shift heaven and earth to sign Adrien Rabiot this summer
Everton must reignite interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and must shift heaven and earth to sign him.
French news outlet But Football Club reported on 24 March that the Toffees had made contact to enquire about the situation of the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder.
According to The Telegraph (23 June), Rabiot could be available for £15m and wants to leave Juventus this summer.
The French defensive midfielder is open to moving to the Premier League. The likes of Newcastle have been linked with a move, but Everton must stamp up the money and get his deal done.
The Toffees desperately need to bolster their central midfield this summer. Fabian Delph is set to leave at the end of this month as a free agent while Allan and Andre Gomes are facing uncertain futures.
Rabiot is a top-class defensive midfielder who enjoyed a trophy-laden career at PSG, and also impressed during his time in Italy.
In terms of talent and quality, he is head and shoulders above every midfielder at Everton. He brings steal and poise in midfield and would transform the Toffees.
His buccaneering style would match the boisterous vibe at Goodison Park, and in no time he will become their new hero.
Juventus return for pre-season training on July 11 and Rabiot would want his future to be sorted before that.
Rabiot is confident that he can be a success in the Premier League, and the Toffees must take a punt. He will be a guaranteed starter at Goodison Park, which will enhance his chances of representing France in the World Cup in Qatar.
