Done deal: Everton swoop for Jack Patterson confirmed by midfielder as Finch Farm reveal emerges
Northern Irish talent Jack Patterson has confirmed on Instagram that he’s completed a move to Everton from Crusaders.
The 16-year-old midfielder took to his personal account on Wednesday (6 July) to share an image of himself putting pen to paper on his contract at Finch Farm.
Patterson captioned the image saying: “Delighted to have signed for Everton.

“Thank you to [agency] Murdock Sports for getting it done.”

Everton have had a slow start to the summer transfer window with James Tarkowski being the only addition to Frank Lampard’s senior squad.
He’s arrived at Goodison Park on a free transfer after his contract expired at relegated Burnley.
We’ve also seen a lot of outgoings at Goodison since last season ended with Richarlison topping the list by making a big-money move to Tottenham.
Lampard’s squad is looking very depleted so the money needs to start being reinvested into the side straight away otherwise we’ll be running the risk of another relegation battle next term.

Signing Patterson isn’t going to help things out in that sense but it’s good to see the Blues are still future-proofing their side by signing up-and-coming young talent from elsewhere.
Patterson is a defensive midfielder who was born in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland in 2005.
He’s a Northern Ireland Under-17 international and has already played four times in senior football for Crusaders in the Northern Irish Premiership.
Let’s hope he can continue his development well at Goodison Park and that we see him breaking into the first-team in the years to come.
