Lewis Warrington could make Everton breakthrough next season
Young Everton midfielder Lewis Warrington could be part of Frank Lampard’s plans for the 2022/23 Premier League season.
According to the Liverpool Echo, in pre-season training, the first-team Toffees players wore the home kit and took on the youngsters who donned the orange training kits.
Warrington, 19, who is yet to make a senior was seen with the senior players, which could be an indication that Lampard plans on promoting him next season.

Good move?
The teenage midfielder has been at Goodison Park since he was 6 and Everton is all he’s known growing up.
Not only has he supported the club all his life, he’s been playing for them since he can remember and that certainly plays a factor in his decision to stay at the club.
He recently penned a new deal at Everton and surely will be aiming to make the first team sooner rather than later.
The fact that he’s playing in the team of the big boys suggests that Lampard wants to see how the dynamic is working out.
Midfielders are certainly needed this summer, but cash flow is a major issue for the Toffees and that could leave Lampard turning to his academy for talented players.
Pre season games will be a good indicator as to where the 19-year-old actually is in terms of his development.
He did spend last season on loan and if the club think he’s not up to the first-team level yet, he could be sent out on loan again.
