Armando Broja hands in Chelsea transfer request amid West Ham and Everton links

Everton and West Ham target Armando Broja has reportedly told Chelsea that he wants to leave the club this summer.

According to the Evening Standard, having joined his Blues teammates later for their pre-season tour, he is now set to bid them goodbye without playing a single minute to sort out his future.

The Hammers seem the favourites to sign him for £30million with the Toffees and Newcastle keeping an eye on any developments.

The Telegraph have reported that he has already flown back to the United Kingdom with a decision imminent.

Move on

The 20-year-old striker appears to have his heart set on moving to the London Stadium and the Hammers even have the money ready to sign him.

They will offer him higher wages and European football – something that Everton cannot based on their financial situation as well as their league finish last season.

Broja is a central striker so signing him would mean Frank Lampard would have to play a two-man attack in a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2.

The former did not work last season and this squad could be suited better to play with a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3 with just one out and out striker.

Anthony Gordon on the left is just as much as a nailed-on starter as Calvert-Lewin so a wide right attacker should be the priority target this summer.

Morgan Gibbs-White is another player who walks straight into this playing eleven and personal terms are expected to be a formality as Everton plan to launch another offer and sign him from Wolves.
