Sunderland retain interest in Everton forward Nathan Broadhead as Frank Lampard makes pre-season decision
Frank Lampard choose not use Everton striker Nathan Broadhead in pre-season despite giving a chance to 22 players against Arsenal.
According to the Sunderland Echo, there were Toffees players that were injured before the game, but Broadhead wasn’t specified as one of them as Frank Lampard took the decision not to give him a chance to feature.
The same publication reported that the Black Cats were already in talks to sign the 24-year-old who has one year left on his deal.

Sell him
Lampard clearly does not seem to rate Broadhead and he’s now in his mid-20s so offering a new deal to him won’t make sense for either party.
He would want the guarantee of regular playing time and the Toffees can’t even tell him that he needs to go out on loan for his development.
Players at his age are already playing first-team football and for him to do that he needs to leave as soon as possible.
This is the last window that Everton can expect a decent transfer fee for his services and they must do everything they can to ensure that other than Sunderland, there are clubs showing an interest.
It would give the Toffees more funds to then spend on other players as they’re lagging behind in terms of their transfer activity compared to other teams.
Armando Broja has handed in his transfer request and they must do everything they can to sign the Chelsea forward and also look to bring in Wolves attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
