Everton are set to put their foot on the gas to seal a triple blockbuster transfer raid this summer, according to iNews on Thursday afternoon.

The online outlet has reported on its website that deals for Paris Saint-Germain man Idrissa Gueye and Lille ace Amadou Onana are seen as priorities – with the latter described as the biggest of the summer.

Once those happen, a move for a new striker will be targeted after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury, with Chelsea’s Armando Broja back on the table now.

Frank Lampard made it his priority to strengthen midfield once last season had finished, and this double raid would certainly make that happen.

A new striker could then see our business finished for now, although a late move for a defender could come onto the cards should one become available.

Sky Sports have shared in the past 24 hours that Wolves’ Conor Coady is a potential option right now.

Out of Nowhere.

We are going to ask questions later over how this could happen, but the money is being splashed yet again.

Lille were wanting over £30million for Onana as well as the player wanting over £100,000-a-week wages, but yet here we are pulling out our biggest signing of the summer.

Farhad Moshiri told fans not to judge transfer business yet weeks ago, but once it had been finished, and we are making our moves now in the window.

If Broja follows these two to Goodison Park, then this window would be our most successful in years given the smart investment rather than just throwing money around for the sake of it.

Big money signings of the likes of James Rodriguez did not work out long-term, but now there is a plan in place and the likes of Onana and Broja would certainly change all of that.

It’s hard not to get too excited, but here we are, raring to see all three announced if possible at Everton.
